Department of Medicine Innovation Platform

The Department of Medicine Innovation Platform is the avenue for Department members to address a gap in care at PHC. Initiative can span divisions, departments and beyond.

Research Challenge and Knowledge Translation Challenge

The PHC Practice-based Research Challenge is an annual competition open to point-of-care PHC staff. The Research Challenge offers research teams the opportunity to work with a mentor to develop a research proposal around a research question.

The Knowledge Translation (KT) Challenge is designed to support teams of PHC and VCH clinicians who may not have much KT expertise but are responsible for moving evidence into practice. Successful applications to the KT Challenge will receive funding and training to learn the basics of knowledge translation and to support a KT initiative.

Quality Improvement

Driven by data, the QI team identifies opportunities to improve the quality of care and experience for residents, patients, families, friends, and caregivers. They also run the QI Challenge, a professional development program designed for all Providence staff and care providers to learn to use the Providence QI Framework to make lasting improvements in their work area.
