Chris Talusan is a seasoned Clinical Informaticist at Providence Healthcare as Director of the Clinical Informatics team, where he leverages his dual expertise in nursing and health informatics to drive innovative healthcare solutions. With a strong background in both clinical practice and healthcare IT, Chris has been instrumental in leading the clinical informatics team, providing strategic direction, and implementing key projects that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

As the Director, Chris oversees a $4 million annual operating budget and collaborates with internal and external partners to achieve shared goals.  Chris’s notable achievements include leading clinical information system implementations, and developing clinical adoption strategies that adapt to evolving needs. His commitment to optimizing clinical information systems and fostering a collaborative environment underscores his dedication to advancing healthcare through innovation.

Chris holds a Master of Nursing and a Master of Science in Health Informatics from the University of Victoria, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Langara College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia. His research and publications further demonstrate his contribution to the field of nursing informatics.
