As Providence Research’s Executive Director of Providence Health Innovation Research and Engagement (PHIR+E), Ivone focuses on supporting translational research and innovation at Providence Health Care, which includes building partnership and collaboration within Providence Health Care and St. Paul’s Foundation and with governments, academic institutions, industry, and others.

Ivone has more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning and fundraising in the health and education sectors in British Columbia and Alberta.  Most recently she served as the Chief Innovation Development Officer and prior to that the Chief Development Officer at St. Paul's Foundation where she played key roles in the establishment of leading initiatives such as the Canada's Digital Technology Supercluster, Providence Health Care Ventures, the BC Centre on Substance Use, Foundry, the Goldcorp Fellowship in Addiction Medicine, and the First Nations Health Authority Chair in Heart Health and Wellness as well as the Jim Pattison Foundation’s historic $75 million donation for the new St. Paul’s Hospital on the Jim Pattison Medical Campus.

Ivone also has more than 10 years of related experience and learning in the social services sector, including community development as a social planner and post-graduate education in intercultural and international education.
